From the 12th to the 15th of October, we showcased at BIMU Exhibition.
At our booth, we prepared a demo on a Remote Avatar and the teleoperation workstation with Alter-Ego robot. This activity can be applied at the industrial level through the monitoring of industrial plants, inspection and maintenance in remote or dangerous environments by introducing intuitive interfaces to transfer the pilot’s manual skills to a robotic avatar.
Our team welcomed many people interested in learning about the know-how and technologies involved in the project; with the Champion companies, we showed how technology transfer works in a shared environment.
During the I-RIM conference on the 13th of October at BIMU, we presented four papers written by the team in collaboration with Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia and Intellimech; one of them received an award as the best paper presented at I-RIM.
